A helpful navigation feature from Yamaha is Helm Master EX, a fully electronic steering system for digital outboards that makes getting to your destination easier; all while granting an incredible level of control on the water.

These outboards feature plasma-fused sleeveless cylinder walls, which are 60% harder than steel. That equates to larger cylinder bores for increased displacement, which results in more power and torque. Micro-textured cylinder walls help decrease friction loss, and further increase performance and enhance reliability.

For maximum power and efficiency, electronically controlled throttle valves work together with Precision Multi-Point Fuel Injection to ensure a precise ratio of air and fuel. In addition, 6 sensors constantly provide vital atmospheric and engine conditions to the Engine Control Module (ECM), which makes adjustments for performance.

From the top of the cowling to the tip of the propeller shaft, every ounce of weight-savings has been realized in order to maximize performance without sacrificing durability.

Yamaha’s Variable Camshaft Timing system advances and retards the angle of the intake camshaft to dramatically increase power and throttle response in the low and mid RPM ranges. This feature helps Yamaha’s new 4.2-liter big-bore V6 outboards deliver incredible hole shot and mid-range acceleration.

The Yamaha V6 Offshore F300 and F250 are the industry’s very first offshore V6’s offered in digital models with built-in electric steering. This makes them incredibly responsive and also results in a cleaner bilge, with no pumps, hoses, hydraulic lines or connections.

Our digital V6 Offshore models are compatible with the Helm Master^® EX boat control system. Functionality includes Autopilot with Heading/Course Hold, 10+ automated modes for fishing and relaxing,  joystick adjustability and more. There’s even an optional theft-deterrent system, Y-COP^®, which disables the ignition and fuel systems while docked.
