The Express 37 was designed by Carl Schumacher, one of the top designers of the “fast is fun” school in Santa Cruz, California. The Alsberg Brothers were the builders of the seaworthy offshore racer/cruiser. The quallity of the construction and the concept of not designing to a rule, by designing the best boat possible.  In fact, the Express 37 is fairly rated and competitive under every rule: IMS, Americap,ORR, ORC, IRC, and PHRF. She is also a great cruiser.
