Matt Baldwin

Mamaroneck, NY, US

Matt Baldwin recently joined our staff as Customer Service Coordinator at our Post Road Yard in Mamaroneck and will be the primary communications conduit between our customers and the crew working on their boats.

Matt spent his early years actively sailing and racing on Long Island Sound— starting in Blue Jays and Lasers, then moving on to become part of multiple big boat programs. For many years he successfully campaigned a series of boats named “Cabady”around the northeast. As a skipper, some of his racing highlights include class wins at Block Island Race Week, claiming the overall U.S. IRC championship in 2007, top finishes in the Newport-to-Bermuda Race, and the top spot in the 2008 Onion Patch Series. When not racing, he enjoys cruising the northeast with his wife and two young daughters. Their favorite cruising get-away: Block Island.

Matt has spent nearly 30 years working in the marine industry, including running his own UK loft in Norwalk, and more recently, serving as project manager overseeing the design and construction of theClass 40 racing yacht, “Longbow.” Matt has had the opportunity to learn many of the subtleties of yacht construction, maintenance and repair. McMichael is thrilled that he brings that experience to help better serve our customers.

Matt works closely with customers to ensure seamless coordination between them and the yard. He has countless contacts in the industry, which are a valuable asset in getting the job done. You can reach Matt at 914-698-4957 or at service@mcmyacht.com.
