Overview

The Freedom 44 is truly an innovative package with the 2 Freedom free-standing carbon fiber spars, performance-cruising hull design by Garry Hoyt and outstanding construction by TPI. Down below she has a warm, all wood interior with 2 private staterooms.

The Freedom's self-tending Cat Ketch rig is truly unique. You only have to turn the wheel to tack, no grinding. This design has won many offshore events while in full cruising trim and with a crew of only 2 . . . This makes for a wonderful, short-handed, fast passage cruiser that can easily be handled by 2, but also has room for the whole family.

Many upgrades include a custom s/s bow pulpit w/integrated self-launching anchor, 5000# windlass w/controls forward & at helm, complete refit of DC & AC systems, blue awlgrip, refrigerator, separate freezer, air conditioning, new sails on Harken bat cars – the list goes on & on.
